![]() ![]() Upon completion of this course students will be given the opportunity to take the Advanced Placement test for the possibility of college credit. This course is designed to increase the students’ understanding of the world and develop their critical thinking skills. By examining maps and other geographical tools students will examine correlations between the physical and human world and the interactions that have shaped our planet and human life. ![]() ![]() We will be looking at different cultural phenomenon such as language, religion, government, and economic systems in order to make connections between different cultural set and how they interact with one another. By looking at the relationships between cultural groups and their physical geography it is possible to find relationships that allow geographers to understand better how humans are shaped by their physical world, and change it in turn. If you are not sure which syllabus you are studying or which exam tier (foundation or higher) you are sitting check with your teacher. There will be a 5-minute break between exam sections. You will be given 60 minutes to answer the 75 multiple-choice questions in Section I and 75 minutes to answer the three free-response questions in Section II. Pearson Edexcel currently run two syllabuses Geography A and Geography B. The AP human geography exam is two hours and 15 minutes long, and is timed.
